Our Environmental Management Policy
In its activities, MAKBİM establishes systems based on the efficient use of the environment and natural resources, and ensures their continuity. It is committed to sustainability by raising the environmental awareness of the individuals, institutions and organizations with which it interacts directly and indirectly.
In line with this Policy, we commit to:
- maintaining continuous communication with suppliers and customers in order to achieve our objectives and to improve the environmental impacts of our activities, products and services in a manner appropriate to the company’s structure and scale;
- regarding every waste disposal operation as a loss of natural resources and developing methods to prevent pollution at its source;
- accepting compliance with the legal requirements, standards and regulations to which we are subject as a fundamental requirement in our processes;
- creating a strong environmental awareness to whose implementation and development all employees, as well as interns, visitors and subcontractor personnel, contribute;
- planning and implementing strategic steps towards sustainability by assessing risks and opportunities.
Our Occupational Health and Safety Policy
- To prevent work-related injury and ill health, identifying opportunities and hazards with an effective and proactive approach, and creating safe and healthy working conditions by aiming to reduce and, where possible, eliminate threats within the scope of occupational health and safety (OHS) risks while increasing opportunities;
- Ensuring the health, safety and psychological well-being of every individual who may be present in the workplace, including all MAKBİM employees, stakeholders, project partners, subcontractors, interns and visitors, and planning the necessary investment, organization and infrastructure for this purpose;
- Creating “a strong OHS culture” to whose implementation and development all employees, departmental employee representatives and unit OHS officers contribute, and continuously improving it;
- Setting and maintaining goals that are open to innovation, in which OHS requirements are always given priority and legal requirements are fulfilled. We commit to all of the above.
